Metatron Group LTD is an owner-led electrical, testing and engineering contractor based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The business was established to provide technically competent, professionally delivered electrical services to domestic, commercial and industrial clients — work carried out properly, documented correctly, and communicated clearly throughout.
The company is led directly by its owner, an experienced ECS Gold Card Approved Electrician. Every project is managed and delivered personally, which means clients deal with the same person from initial enquiry through to completion and handover. There are no layers of management between the client and the person doing the work.
We work with clients in Bury St Edmunds, across Suffolk and on suitable projects throughout the UK. Our focus is on projects where technical accuracy, safe working and professional communication are valued — domestic and commercial installations, inspection and testing, fault finding and remedial work, and commercial and industrial support.
Every project is approached with the same priorities: safety, technical accuracy, clear communication and work completed to a dependable professional standard.

Verified Competence
NAPIT Registered — Electrical Installer
Metatron Group LTD is registered with NAPIT (Certificate No. NAP/81329/26/1) under the NAPIT Electrical Installer Certification Scheme, the Competent Person Scheme and the Third Party Certifier Scheme. Registration covers electrical installations up to and including 1000V AC or 1500V DC in dwellings and premises other than dwellings, including design, construction, maintenance, verification, inspection and testing within the approved scope.
ECS Gold Card — Approved Electrician
The Electrotechnical Certification Scheme Gold Card is the industry-recognised card confirming that the holder has achieved the required qualifications and competence to work as an approved electrician. It is the standard required by most commercial and industrial clients and main contractors.
Level 3 Electrical Qualifications
City & Guilds Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671) — the 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations. This qualification demonstrates knowledge of the requirements of BS 7671, the IET Wiring Regulations.
AM2 — Achievement Measurement 2
The AM2 is the industry-standard practical competency assessment for electricians, testing the ability to install, inspect, test and commission electrical systems to the required standard. Passing the AM2 is a prerequisite for ECS Gold Card status.
City & Guilds 2391 — Inspection & Testing
The 2391 qualification in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations is the recognised standard for electricians carrying out EICRs and initial verification. It confirms competence in the systematic inspection, testing and reporting of electrical installations to BS 7671.
SSSTS — Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme
The SSSTS qualification is the recognised safety training standard for those in supervisory roles on construction sites. It covers health and safety legislation, risk assessment, method statements and the responsibilities of a site supervisor.
IPAF — Powered Access Licence
IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification confirms competence in the safe operation of powered access equipment including mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs). Required for work at height using scissor lifts, boom lifts and similar equipment.

NAPIT Registered
Metatron Group LTD is registered with NAPIT for domestic and non-domestic electrical installation work, including design, construction, maintenance, verification, inspection and testing within its approved scope. The company is also registered under the Competent Person Scheme for applicable electrical work in dwellings and is approved for third-party certification of domestic electrical work.
As a Competent Person Scheme registered contractor, Metatron Group LTD can self-certify applicable domestic electrical work as compliant with the relevant Building Regulations and notify the relevant local authority where required. Building Regulations notification applies to notifiable work — not every electrical job is notifiable.
Metatron Group LTD is approved through NAPIT's Third Party Certifier Scheme to undertake third-party certification of domestic electrical work within its registered scope.
